Pre-Camp Communication

Please check the emails associated with the camper account for necessary information before you go to camp (i.e. bus times). We are NOT sending paper packets via mail to your home. Please be proactive and review these emails. Remember to check your spam folder, too!

Camp Store & Spending Money

Log into your account and add money into your child's camp store account. Once on the dashboard go to the finance section and click the blue button "Make Payment", click on camp store tab and enter the amount. Onaway's camp store sells candy, souvenirs, Onaway apparel and ice cream. Souvenirs range in price from $5 - $50.

Mail & Telephone

Letters from home are welcome and encouraged! Please do not send bad news to your child through the mail as it could negatively affect their week of camp. If you need to communicate bad news to your child, please call Onaway and ask to speak to the Camp Manager first. This allows us to be ready to support your child in any way we may need to.
PLEASE do not send packages. Our mailbox at the boat landing is not large enough to accommodate packages and the USPS does not leave them.
It usually takes 3 days for mail to get to Onaway from the Fox Valley. Letters sent late in the week will not likely reach the camper before they head home.

Lost & Found - mark EVERYTHING!

Please mark everything (clothing, sleeping bags, and towels) with your child’s name.
Lost and found items are brought back to the Brigade office after each week of camp. Unclaimed items will be donated at the end of the summer.

Health
Let us know about any specific health problems your camper may have under the medical section in your account. If you wish to talk with the nurse about your child, please contact the Brigade office before camp.

**All medications brought to camp by a camper or staff member shall be in containers that are clearly labeled to include the name of the camper or staff member, the name of the medication, the dosage, the frequency of administration and the route of administration. All medication prescribed by a physician shall, in addition, be labeled to include the name of the prescribing physician, the prescription number, date prescribed, possible adverse reactions, the specific conditions when contact should be made with the physician and other special instructions as needed.
