YOUR  INVESTMENT  IS  IMPORTANT

If you could give your parents one gift, what would you give them?  “I would want to give my mom her childhood again and let her live the life she deserves.” This heartfelt comment came from a sixth grade girl’s “If” worksheet during a Building Leaders program night.

Your donation helps provide an environment where youth feel secure in sharing their feelings and a place where leaders and staff promote an atmosphere of hope within a physically and psychologically safe place. Every child has a need to belong, feel appreciated, safe, and nurtured – a place where they can learn social skills, healthy habits, be challenged to make good decisions, and learn important values.  Please consider investing in the lives of youth at the Brigade by donating today.

Donate Your Vehicle to The Brigade

Help Make A Difference…
Donate your Car, Truck, Boat, or Camper today!

Thank you for considering the Boys’ & Girls’ Brigade for your vehicle donation. Your gift to this vital youth organization will help build strong leaders right here in your community.

The Boys’ & Girls’ Brigade is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization under the IRS rules, so any gift you give may be considered tax deductible.

Non-profit organizations are not permitted by law to place a value on any donated item, however, under the new tax laws you do not need to place a value on any donation valued over $500.00. The non-profit organization is required to report to you the sale price of the vehicle once it is sold. This must happen within 30 days of the sale. The dollar amount reported to you is the valuation you are allowed to use as your tax deduction.

Be aware that the sale amount received for your donation may be lower than you find in valuation guides. This is due to the fact that most non-profit organizations use auctions or whole sale dealers to sell these vehicles. It has been determined that this difference has little impact on your tax benefit.

If you expect to take a less than $500.00 deduction, you do not need to wait for the sale of the vehicle. You will be allowed to determine the value of the donation independent of the sale price, as long as it is less than $500.00.

For tax information, please refer to the IRS Publications “A Donor’s Guide to Vehicle Donations”- Publication #4303 and “Charitable Contributions”- Publication #526 at www.irs.gov/formspubs/

The donating process is very simple. Just call the Brigade office at (920) 725-3983 to make arrangements to drop off your vehicle. The paperwork takes only a few minutes. Due to limitations of staff and facility, the Brigade is only able to accept vehicles that can be driven.

Thank you again for your consideration and for helping the hundreds of youth right here in the community.

Planned Giving and Bequests
