Hobby Clubs (formerly known as the “Discover Mini Series”) are an opportunity to spend more time at Brigade doing your favorite activities with folks who share your interests! Each series is led and supervised by an experienced leader. They are separate from but complementary to the fun had on regular Building Leaders program nights. Any youth in any grade from 5th-12th are welcome to attend! You don’t need to be a registered Brigader to join. To register and pay, please click the button below:

Week-Long Summer Camps (Downtown Neenah Campus)

These camps meet at our downtown Neenah campus (109 W. Columbian Ave, Neenah) only.

  • June 3-7, 2024 | 8:00 AM-12:00 PM | Cost: $100

    Our Health and Wellness Summer Camp is a week-long camp open to youth who have completed 5th-8th grade. We will have a variety of fun activities that focus on health, wellness, fitness, meditation, body positivity, and nutrition. It will incorporate a different physical activity and cooking a healthy lunch each day. 

  • June 10-14, 2024 | 8:00 AM -12:00 PM | Cost $200

    Our Summer Music Camp is open to students from grades 5 to 8 interested in music and music technology. The camp offers a variety of activities designed to help students explore their interests and develop new skills every day. They can participate in music and tech experiences that teach them about music, music production, sound editing, and more! Campers will also experience The Brigade's other features, such as physical activities in the gym, rock climbing, and crafts. The Brigade will also provide them with lunch.

Summer Hobby Clubs

  • Mondays from 4:30 - 6:30 PM

    Fee: $20

    The climbing club focuses on safe climbing, climbing techniques & having fun! Instructor Bill Kelly is a seasoned climber with a lot of expertise to share. All participants must have a release form signed by a parent/guardian on file. Parents, guardians, and guests are welcome! Participants younger than 5th grade are welcome but must be accompanied by a parent.

    Limited to 12 new climbers, and an unlimited number of returning climbers are welcome.

    Please note: This is a popular club with limited space. Members who are not actively participating when present will be asked to leave the club to free up a spot for a child on the waiting list.

    Our Creative Writing Club is open to youth who have completed 5th-12th grades. Students will have the opportunity to engage in free-writing exercises, share their stories aloud, learn techniques to overcome writer's block, and respond to prompts.

  • Wednesdays | 5:00-6:00 PM | Cost: 30

    Put those dance skills to the test! Groups of students will have the ability to create their own dance and perform live in the Brigade Auditorium. This class will meet on Wednesdays from 5:00-6:00 PM.

    This will be available to kids ages 8 to 17.

    Run club is open to students in grades 5th through 12th. We will focus on sprints and long-distance running, which is an excellent opportunity to stay in shape for fall sports over the summer! Run club will take place at Fritse Park in Neenah (899 N Lake St. Neenah), so runners must be dropped off there at 8 AM and picked up at 9 AM.

  • Mondays 5:00-6:15 PM, Wednesdays 5:00-6:15 PM, Saturdays 8:00-10:00 AM

    Fee: $20

    Karate is great, fun exercise that enhances your confidence, teaches you how to defend yourself, helps you develop patience, and encourages your growth! Instructor Pat Claggett is a great teacher with an excellent commitment to his students. Participants will have the opportunity to test and earn belts and should plan on attending at least one day per week.

    Soccer Basics will introduce your child to the basics of soccer and familiarize them with ball control, shooting, and dribbling. It’s a great starter for kids who are just learning or are getting back into soccer!

    We will meet at Mahler Park (1536 S Park Ave, Neenah, WI 54956) in Neenah on Tuesdays.
