The Boys’ & Girls’ Brigade's Christmas Giving program serves financially disadvantaged families in Neenah and Menasha by providing clothing and gifts so they may experience a memorable Christmas. The Christmas Giving program was able to provide gifts to hundreds of children last year thanks to the generosity of the community, volunteers, and staff. Dolls, bikes, clothing, sporting goods, books, blankets, and more helped provide a brighter holiday for families in need. Mittens and caps knitted by the hands of many dedicated and talented volunteer knitters kept little hands and heads warm during the winter. We continue to provide this service to those with children from birth to 18 years old living in Neenah and Menasha. Families are referred to the Christmas Giving program by human and health service departments, schools, churches, and other youth organizations.
How you can help
There are numerous ways the community is helping hundreds of families in Neenah and Menasha have a memorable Christmas. Here's where you can help:
We accept in-kind donations such as toys, clothing, toiletries, sports equipment, electronics, and other items for children birth to high school age. The Brigade's Christmas Giving program also utilizes donated funds by purchasing last minute items to fulfill a child's Christmas wish list.
Adopt a family
Individuals, families, businesses, civic organizations, and churches adopt families each Christmas. A Christmas list is provided so you can personally shop for your adopted family, giving it an extra personal touch to their gifts.
Each year, the Christmas Giving program is in need of volunteers to assist donors in unloading donations, organizing donations, selecting gifts, arranging boxes, delivering gifts, and more. If you are interested in helping with any of our activities, please call 725-3211 to sign up or ask questions.
Volunteer opportunities will be listed in October.
