Annual Christmas Wreath Sale

Each year from mid October until just before Christmas, the Boys’ & Girls’ Brigade sells Christmas wreaths, canes and garland in an effort to raise funds for the many youth programs Brigade offers. This effort enjoys wide support among homeowners, businesses, churches, and more as evidenced by the over 9,500 wreaths which are sold each year. Over the years, it has become a major revenue source for Brigade’s youth character and leadership development programs.

The annual wreath sales program is run primarily by Brigade volunteers, with some sales assistance from youth and parents of Brigade. It is a joyous time of the year, and Brigade volunteers look forward to the project. Although it involves many hours of outdoor work that is subject to all types of weather, it is an opportunity to spread the Brigade philosophy and is fulfilling knowing that the funds will benefit the Brigade program.

Tee It Up For Youth Golf Outing

Support a great cause and golf all day!  The 11th Annual Tee It Up for Youth Charity Golf Outing is being held Thursday, June 19, 2008, at Lake Breeze Golf Club in Winneconne.  This beautiful 18-hole championship layout course is located right in the heart of the Fox River Valley just minutes away from both Oshkosh and Appleton.  All proceeds from the event will support sixth through twelfth grade youth enrolled in the Boys’ & Girls’ Brigade character and leadership development programs.  In 2007 the Brigade served 750 youth through its program in Neenah and nearly 900 youth through its summer camp program at Onaway Island.

We hope you will join this fantastic fundraising event that includes golf, a boat cruise, dinner, and a silent auction!  There’s nothing else like it in the Fox River Valley.  Corporations that have contributed in the past include:  Robert W. Baird, Bergstrom Corporation, CR Meyer, First National Bank, Great Northern Corporation, Menasha Corporation, Miron Construction, Northstar Asset Management, and more.

For more information on how you can become a sponsor and/or register a golf team in the event, contact Pat Kroiss, Brigade Development Leader, at 920-725-8992, Ext. 25.  You can make a difference by supporting our most precious asset -- our youth.
