About Brigade
The Boys' & Girls' Brigade is a youth organization for boys and girls grade 6 - 12 that has been serving area youth since 1900. |

Brigade emphasizes the Four-Fold way of life, good physical, social, mental and spiritual development. |
Brigade Beginnings
Building character and instilling youth with wholesome values was the goal of the first leaders in 1900 and remains unchanged today. |

Brigade Programs
In addition to a 7-year character development and leadership training program, Brigade also offers a variety of activities and Hobby Clubs that help to encourage the development of character and leadership. |

Boys' & Girls' Programs
More than 850 youth in grades 6-12 from throughout the Fox Valley participated in the 2005-2006 program. |

6th Grade Program
The 6th grade Brigade program focuses on 4 character trait areas of sportsmanship, respectfulness, responsibility and cleanliness. |
 |
7th Grade Program
The 7th grade Brigade program focuses on attitude, helpfulness, initiative, and trustworthiness character traits. |
 |
8th Grade Program
All aspects of Brigade’s Four Fold, I dare you philosophy, become the action plan for 8th grade programs and activities. |
 |
9th Grade Co-Ed Program
The 9th grade Brigade program focuses on leadership training and moving beyond the exploration and experience concepts of the younger grades. |
 |
10th Grade Co-Ed Program
The 10th grade program prepares Brigaders for their remaining 2 years in Brigade where they will be co-leaders to a group of their younger peers on a night of their choice. |
 |
11th & 12th Grade Co-Leader Program
As 11th & 12th Graders, Brigaders have the opportunity to execute and put into practice all of the skills they have learned over the last 5 years. |

Hobby Clubs
Hobby Clubs are open to all boys and girls who are members of the Boys' & Girls' Brigade and meet in addition to regular Brigade nights. |
International Programs
The Boys’ & Girls’ Brigade is truly an international organization that has spread around the world since its formation over 120 years ago. |

International Trip
Periodic trips abroad which provide our Brigade members the opportunities to experience new cultures and develop lifelong friendships with other Brigaders around the world. |

International Camp
These unique international experiences provide members of our Brigade family lifelong friendships and forge strong relationships between our Brigade and others. |

Camp Onaway
Camp Onaway is a 6 ½ acre island located on The Chain O' Lakes near Waupaca, Wisconsin. |

Camp History
Since 1908, The Boys’ & Girls’ Brigade has been camping at Onaway Island looking at the experience as an extension of the drill, leadership and character building programs. |

Leadership Training
The Boys’ & Girls’ Brigade hosts an annual Leadership Training Conference (LTC) at Camp Onaway. |

OAC uses nature as a backdrop for learning, practicing, and living the Four-fold way of life, while incorporating useful outdoor skills. |
Family Camp
Family Camp at Onaway Island is a fantastic family camp with activities for all ages! |
International Camp
These international experiences provide members of our Brigade family lifelong friendships and forge strong relationships between our Brigade and others. |

How to Volunteer
Registration as a Volunteer is a 2-step process and involves a background check. To Volunteer, simply fill out the 2 forms and submit them to Brigade with a recent photo of yourself. |
