9th Grade BOYS & GIRLS Program
The 9th grade Brigade program focuses on leadership training and moving beyond the exploration and experience concepts of the younger grades. Emphasis is placed on working as a team, community and personal responsibility, and teaching the leadership traits of Ethics & Spirituality, Responsibility, Teamwork, Communication, and Stewardship.
Program topics include team building, the drill, Internet dangers, small group activities and discussions.
Activities include rifle range, archery range, and mini tournaments of basketball, volleyball, dodgeball, kickball, waffle ball, and floor hockey. In addition, they will have the opportunity to try out the new climbing wall!
Workshops include woodworking, cooking and making holiday greeting cards for area senior centers.
Several nights will be spent outside of Brigade at a local haunted house, curling in Appleton, and community service workshops (Emergency Shelter, Goodwill, and other human service organizations).
The 9th grade Brigade program focuses on more serious subjects (community service, teamwork, doing for others) to ease the transition into Brigade’s 10th grade leadership training program.
Opportunities abound to discover new friends and experience new relationships during exciting activities. Come join your friends for all the fun at Brigade each Wednesday night!
