Our Brigade staff is made up of a unique blend of individuals all working to provide quality programming for area youth. From creating camp forms and processing payments to developing new programs and coordinating exciting events, our staff makes your visit and journey through the Building Leaders and Camp Onaway programs an easy and enjoyable one!
Laura Kemps, Executive Director
Laura joined the Brigade in 2012 as executive director but was involved long before. As a parent of two Brigade alumni, she spent time at the Brigade during Building Leaders program nights volunteering her time, particularly in the ceramics room.
Laura's education background is in finance, but her real life experiences as an executive director for another non-profit led her to realize her true passion--working with volunteers, staff, and community members.

I am an outdoor enthusiast and enjoy snow skiing, kayaking, biking, gardening, and photography. My rainy days are spent playing cards or board games (I am pretty good at cribbage and Risk!). I am continually amazed by the energy and dedication generated by the Brigade community and feel privileged to have the opportunity to serve the Brigade as executive director.
Marnie Spielbauer, Program Director
Marnie leads the 6th grade and 8th grade girls’ Building Leaders programs on Monday and Tuesday evenings. In the summer she manages Girls’ Camp 2 and Girls’ Camp 4 and considers a week at girls’ camp one of her favorite things. She also manages the Onaway Summer Retreat.
Marnie graduated from UW-Milwaukee in 2000 with a degree in Occupational Therapy. She worked in a hospital setting for a very short time and volunteered as a Brigade leader for one year before taking a position on our Program Staff in 2001. She was a Brigader and Onaway camper for 3 years when she was growing up in Neenah.

Keith McCray, Program Leader
Keith joined the Brigade staff in September 2016 and leads the 7th grade and 8th grade boys' Building Leaders programs on Tuesday and Thursday evenings. In the summer he manages Boys' Camp 3 and Adventure Camp. This is Keith's second go-round as a program leader as he served the Brigade from 2005-2007. After returning to Wisconsin in 2014, Keith volunteered as a 7th grade group leader and as an archery range leader.
Keith has his Masters of Divinity from Liberty University. He served on an elite counter terrorist team while serving in the military. Upon his discharge, he decided to pursue a quiet life and ventured into the world of professional wrestling, where he made a name for himself as Steve Storm.
A BIT MORE FROM Keith...
My family includes my wife Anne and children George, Grace and Piper. I'm a sports enthusiast, especially Packer football and Mets baseball. I enjoy going to the gym and a good Captain America movie. Most of all I love hanging out with my family.
Eric Neumeyer, Program Leader
Eric leads the 6th grade boys' and 10th grade Building Leaders programs on Monday and Wednesday evenings. In the summer he manages Boys’ Camp 2, Boys’ Camp 4 and the Boys' Anchor Camp. Eric graduated from UW Oshkosh with a degree in Human Services. He also has eight years of military experience with the Army National Guard. He is a Brigade and Boys' Camp 4 alumni. Prior to joining the staff in 2015, Eric was a volunteer for the 9th grade Building Leaders program for eight years and a leader at Boys' Camp 2 for six years.
A BIT MORE FROM Eric...
In my free time I enjoy playing volleyball and hanging out with family and friends, especially my nephews! Seeing them grow is awesome. I enjoy the outdoors, especially Camp Onaway. I also enjoy playing cribbage, but I really like playing against my grandpa. If you ever want to play cribbage, let me know!
I feel blessed to be working for such a great organization. I also look forward to meeting all those who come through the doors of Brigade and Camp Onaway!
Carrie Walkup, Program Leader
Carrie leads the 7th grade girls’ Building Leaders programs on Thursday evenings. In the summer she manages Girls’ Camp 1, Girls’ Camp 3, and Girls' Anchor Camp. Carrie graduated from UW Oshkosh with a Human Service Leadership Degree.
She first experienced and fell in love with Onaway Island while doing an internship at a week of summer camp for ARC (now known as SOAR). She loved it so much she did her second internship at the Brigade and was hooked. Prior to joining the staff in 2013, she volunteered for four years at the Brigade in the winter, at Girls’ Camp 1 and as the Camp Director for one year at Girls’ Camp 4.

I am the proud mother to one beautiful little girl, Madilyn Rose and two cats that are very much a part of our home.
I love being outdoors just enjoying the weather even in the winter! I enjoy running, biking, scrap-booking, traveling, rummage sales, gardening and shopping; however, since Madilyn Rose moved in my interest seem to be walks/runs with a stroller, picking up toys, laundry and just trying to keep peace in the house but she has blessed our home in more ways than I can count, for now she is the perfect hobby!
I feel blessed every day that I have been given the opportunity to work and the Boys’ & Girls’ Brigade.
David Weiss, Development Director
David brings a strong marketing and development background as well as a deep commitment to the Fox Valley community. In his roles as Marketing Manager and Account Executive, David managed marketing campaigns and public events for a long list of clients before starting with Brigade in 2014. David graduated from Marquette University.
A little more about David...
I am an active member of the community and currently serve as the Vice President of the Board of Directors at Christine Ann in Oshkosh and also as a volunteer Firefighter for the Town of Neenah since 2010.
I look forward to spreading the word about this great community resource and helping to develop the community leaders of tomorrow. As a ‘Brigader’ in my youth and a Camp Onaway patron, I know what this great organization has to offer and I hope to help make this experience available to all in our community.
Sarah Stevenson, Communications Coordinator
Sarah graduated from UW-Oshkosh with a Journalism degree and emphasis in public relations. She volunteered and worked for a variety of non-profits for several years before joining the Brigade staff in 2014.

My husband Ben and I live in Fond du Lac with our guinea pig Percy. We love animals and are currently foster dog "parents." My favorite things include reading, camping, fishing, and geocaching. I am very happy to be a part of the Brigade family!
Tammy Coenen, Office Manager
Tammy is the office rock star. She has a background in administrative management after spending several years with construction companies and other corporations like Kimberly Clark before starting with Brigade in spring 2013. From camp mailings to building rentals to coordinating the annual wreath sale, Tammy handles it all with a fun and energetic spirit.

My husband and I live in Hortonville with our two children Lauren & Jarret. I am a busy mom with all their activities. In the summer you will find me watching my son’s baseball games and during the winter I am at swim meets watching my daughter. My family and I enjoy spending time outdoors hunting, fishing and boating; however you will not see me spending a lot of time outdoors during the winter! I love the beach and I wish I could move to Hawaii. I also enjoy reading, going to concerts with my friends, watching the Badgers and Packers, and gardening (even though I can only grow weeds). I am happy to be part of such a great organization.
Jen Foucault, Accountant
Jen graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh with a BBA and has more than 16 years of accounting experience before joining Brigade in 2014.

My husband Andy and I along with our three kids, Will and twins Anna & Ryan, and dog Lucy live in Neenah. My kids are all involved with the Building Leaders program and the climbing club. My whole family is avid sports fans, rooting on and attending many Timber Rattlers, Badgers football, Brewers and Packers games.
Luke Brucks, Maintenance
Luke grew up in Neenah and attended both Camp Onaway and Brigade as a middle schooler. He came back to the Brigade as a volunteer in the archery range and at Boys' Camp 4, and then joined the Brigade staff in 2016.
A LITTLE MORE ABOUT Luke...
Maintaining Camp Onaway and the Brigade building keeps me constantly moving. The fast-paced daily work I complete is right up my alley! I enjoy all things outdoors including hunting (both gun and bow) and motorcycle racing! Outside of the Brigade, I enjoy spending time with my wife and two boys on our horse farm in the town of Neenah. If I'm not running around camp or downtown, you can bet I'm on the race track burning hot laps with my sons and buddies on dirt bikes and even ice bikes.
Kristi Murray, Custodian
Kristi is a Brigade alumna and was also a Tuesday night office volunteer and Girls' Camp 3 leader for many years before joining the Brigade staff in 2016.

I live in downtown Menasha and love being on the water and taking walks on the Trestle Trail. In my spare time, I enjoy being both a biological and adoptive aunt and being a part of my faith community.
