Tribal Life…
Camp life is filled with enriching experiences never to be forgotten. Close friendships made at camp last a lifetime. Camp is divided into 4-8 Native American tribes, with healthy competition throughout the week. Older campers serve as Chiefs, Assistant Chiefs, and Cabin Leaders where valuable leadership experience is gained. Younger campers enjoy team spirit by doing their best to help their tribes succeed and look forward to the day when they can be Cabin Leaders and Tribal Chiefs themselves.
Exciting Opportunities…
The Crystal River trip, canoe trips, biking, golfing, and bus trips to the Wolf River for tubing are typical options that can vary by camp and year. High and low ropes course events are available along with lessons for “first-timers” for all activities from swimming to sailboarding and water skiing.
Active Days…
Campers and parent should keep in mind that Camp Onaway can be physically demanding. All campers should be able to participate in rigorous athletic and watersport games, and be able to frequently climb the several flights of stairs between “topside” and the “waterfront”.
Outstanding Leaders…
Camp Leaders are all volunteers. Dads & moms, please consider joining your son or daughter for a week at Onaway this summer. It’s not hard and there’s no fee for leaders (donations for cost of meals is appreciated). We really need you!
