DNR SAFETY COURSES AT BRIGADE
Boater Safety
Typically held annually in April
Watch for announcements in March
No pre-registration before the first class night (½ hour before class begins)
There will be a small fee to cover the cost of materials.
2010 classes will be April 14, 19, 21, 26, and 28 (test) from 7-9 p.m.
Register on April 14 at 6 p.m. Open to the public. $10 fee.
Students may not miss more than one class.
Hunter Safety
Typically held twice annually in April & September
Watch for dates in March & August
If course does not fill with Brigaders, openings will be available to the general public on a first come first serve basis on the first night.
Students may miss 1 night but will need to then score 90% or better on the test.
There will be a small fee to cover the cost of materials.
2010 classes will be May 3, 5, 10, 12, 17, 19, 24, and 26,, 7-9 p.m.
$10 fee
Course is open to Brigade members first at 6 p.m. on May 3 and any remaining openings are offered to the public at 6:30 p.m.
ATV Safety
Typically held annually in November (8 hours minimum)
Open only to Brigaders
There will be a small fee to cover the cost of materials.
Snowmobile Safety
Typically held annually in December or January (8 hours minimum)
No pre-registration, only the night of the first class
Open to general public
There will be a small fee to cover the cost of materials.
