Girls’ camps are the original Onaway camping experience and continue to provide youth in grades six through eleven with exciting activities and new adventures year after year. Through a mix of healthy competition, structured activities and free-time activities, campers grow mentally, physically, socially, and religiously. Camp life is filled with fun and enriching experiences never to be forgotten and close friendships that will last a lifetime.
For the summer of 2017, Girls' Camp 1 is also open to 5th graders, limited to 20 spots.
A typical day at Girls' Camps includes...
7:15 a.m. . . . Reveille, flag raising, morning dip, breakfast, details and cabin inspection
10:00 a.m. . . . Organized activities (including volleyball, basketball, softball, swimming, competitions, waterskiing, tribal games, challenge course activities)
12:30 p.m. . . . Lunch
1:30 p.m. . . . Free-time activities (including swimming, canoeing, fishing, waterskiing, wakeboarding, tubing, banana boat, sailing, windsurfing, kayaking, crafts, topside games, tribal games, tournaments, cross-country race)
5:30 p.m. . . . Supper followed by chapel, tribal and water games, campfire, and after a fun-filled day . . . taps
