Laura Kemps, Executive Director
Laura joined the Brigade in 2012 as executive director but was involved long before. As a parent of two Brigade alumni, she spent time at the Brigade during Building Leaders program nights volunteering her time, particularly in the ceramics room.
Laura's education background is in finance, but her real life experiences as an executive director for another non-profit led her to realize her true passion--working with volunteers, staff, and community members.
A LITTLE MORE ABOUT LAURA...
I am an outdoor enthusiast and enjoy snow skiing, kayaking, biking, gardening, and photography. My rainy days are spent playing cards or board games (I am pretty good at cribbage and Risk!). I am continually amazed by the energy and dedication generated by the Brigade community and feel privileged to have the opportunity to serve the Brigade as executive director.
LUKE BRUCKS, MAINTENANCE
Luke grew up in Neenah and attended both Camp Onaway and Brigade as a middle schooler. He came back to the Brigade as a volunteer in the archery range and at Boys' Camp 4, and then joined the Brigade staff in 2016.
A LITTLE MORE ABOUT LUKE...
Maintaining Camp Onaway and the Brigade building keeps me constantly moving. The fast-paced daily work I complete is right up my alley! I enjoy all things outdoors including hunting (both gun and bow) and motorcycle racing! Outside of the Brigade, I enjoy spending time with my wife and two boys on our horse farm in the town of Neenah. If I'm not running around camp or downtown, you can bet I'm on the race track burning hot laps with my sons and buddies on dirt bikes and even ice bikes.
Tammy Coenen, Office Manager
Tammy is the office rock star. She has a background in administrative management after spending several years with construction companies and other corporations like Kimberly Clark before starting with Brigade in spring 2013. From camp mailings to building rentals to coordinating the annual wreath sale, Tammy handles it all with a fun and energetic spirit.
A LITTLE MORE ABOUT TAMMY...
My husband and I live in Hortonville with our two children Lauren & Jarret. I am a busy mom with all their activities. In the summer you will find me watching my son’s baseball games and during the winter I am at swim meets watching my daughter. My family and I enjoy spending time outdoors hunting, fishing and boating; however you will not see me spending a lot of time outdoors during the winter! I love the beach and I wish I could move to Hawaii. I also enjoy reading, going to concerts with my friends, watching the Badgers and Packers, and gardening (even though I can only grow weeds). I am happy to be part of such a great organization.
JEN FOUCAULT, Accountant
Jen graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh with a BBA and has more than 16 years of accounting experience before joining Brigade in 2014.
A LITTLE MORE ABOUT JEN...
My husband Andy and I along with our three kids, Will and twins Anna & Ryan, and dog Lucy live in Neenah. My kids are all involved with the Building Leaders program and the climbing club. My whole family is avid sports fans, rooting on and attending many Timber Rattlers, Badgers football, Brewers and Packers games.
Kristi Murray, Custodial assistant
Kristi is a Brigade alumna and was also a Tuesday night office volunteer and Girls' Camp 3 leader for many years before joining the Brigade staff in 2016.
A LITTLE MORE ABOUT KRISTI...
I live in downtown Menasha and love being on the water and taking walks on the Trestle Trail. In my spare time, I enjoy being both a biological and adoptive aunt and being a part of my faith community.
SARAH STEVENSON, Communications Coordinator
Sarah graduated from UW-Oshkosh with a Journalism degree and emphasis in public relations. She volunteered and worked for a variety of non-profits for several years before joining the Brigade staff in 2014.
A LITTLE MORE ABOUT SARAH...
My husband Ben and I live in Fond du Lac with our guinea pig Percy. We love animals and are currently foster dog "parents." My favorite things include reading, camping, fishing, and geocaching. I am very happy to be a part of the Brigade family!
DAVID WEISS, Development Director
David brings a strong marketing and development background as well as a deep commitment to the Fox Valley community. In his roles as Marketing Manager and Account Executive, David managed marketing campaigns and public events for a long list of clients before starting with Brigade in 2014. David graduated from Marquette University.
A LITTLE MORE ABOUT DAVID...
I like to be active in our community and try to find ways to collaborate with the many other great non-profit organizations what make the Fox Valley a great place to live. I am an active member of the Appleton Downtown Rotary Club and am a volunteer firefighter with the Town of Neenah. And... I like to grow things with my family. Mostly Trees.
I look forward to spreading the word about this great community resource and helping to develop the community leaders of tomorrow. As a ‘Brigader’ in my youth and a Camp Onaway patron, I know what this great organization has to offer and I hope to help make this experience available to all in our community.
